It is very nice of you to write a Dr. Satish Chand Gupta, ONGC book on our dearest friend and great, world-renowned technologist in the field of Catalysis, Dr. TSR Prasada Rao. On a personal level, Dr. Prasada Rao was a very humble person, helpful to each and everyone in R&D and in other departments of IPCL. He was a friend of all. When he was head of R&D, he ensured that he proves helpful to all officials and staff of the department. All of his colleagues liked him and the department was progressing in an impressive way during his period of leadership. Dr. Prasad Rao left IPCL to join IIP, Dehradun and after a few months I left IPCL to join CIPET Madras in 1991. Although we were far out occasional interactions continued. He also attended as a surprise to me my son’s marriage function in New Delhi.
